The source language is the language in which the original document is written. The target language is the language in which the translated document is written.

Yes, you can expect a translation that is accurate and grammatically correct. In addition, we will make an effort to maintain the right tone-of-voice
What file formats do you support?
You can submit your text in Word, Excel or Powerpoint format.
Is it possible to translate text in image files?
Yes, this is possible, but we prefer it if you copy the text into a Word file.
Can you translate languages with a different writing system?
Yes, we can translate to Russian and Georgian.

Sworn translation
What is a Sworn or certified translation?
A certified translation is a translation that has been certified as accurate. A certified translation is usually required for official documents, such as certificates, diplomas, contracts or patents. A sworn translator is officially recognized by the Dutch government and legally sworn in.
A sworn translation has the following features:
The text is a literal translation of the original document. A translator may not change anything or translate in a creative manner.
The translation is always physical. A digital translation can not be sworn.
The translator includes a signed declaration with the translation, in which he or she declares that the document has been translated in good faith.
The translator attaches the source and target documents to the declaration.
When do I need a sworn translation?
It is not always clear whether a translation needs to be a sworn translation. Common examples of official documents are (academic) degrees, diplomas, birth certificates, court evidences, or notarial deeds. We recommend consulting the institution that requires the translation to check if your translation had to be certified or legalized.
What is a apostille or legalization?
Some documents also need to be legalized or appostilled. In this case a declaration of a sworn translator is not sufficient. The document needs to be legalized in court with a special court statement known as an apostille. The apostille will be attached to a translated document, which means you have to be physically present in court. An apostille issued in the Netherlands is recognized by all signatories to the ‘Apostille Convention’. In the case of countries which do not (yet) recognise an apostille issued in the Netherlands, the standard legalisation procedure is required. This process is similar to the apostille but usually takes longer.
Interpretation – General
Do I need special equipment for telephone interpreting?
Telephone interpreting is most effective if you use quality material. A telephone with a solid speaker function is recommended. We also recommend testing the device prior to the call to ensure it’s properly functioning.
